He who controls the remote controls the world.
Radio frequencies have played a crucial role in today’s technological world by enabling several models of electronic devices to be controlled remotely and obey a command or instruction made by the push of a button on the remote device.
i.e. the receiving device is able to turn on by responding positively to the power on/start up command and the user is at a position to make other instructions and commands through a remote command which is programmed to respond to certain actions such as accelerating, applying breaks etc.
If life had a remote control I would pause the beautiful moments, rewind my mistakes, fast-forward through the heartbreak, stop the drama and play the rest.
What happens is that the remote device is programmed to send a certain code to the receiving device either through radio frequencies or infrared which is then picked up by the receiving device and converted back to an electrical signal which when passed to the microprocessor of the receiving device indicates the action which a user intended to have a device perform.
This technology is now part of an exciting hobby which is loved by people of all ages; from kids to adults – all who love the excitement brought about by Radio Controlled devices which includes RC cars, RC Helicopters, RC trucks etc.
The beauty about the system is that it enables the RC devices to emulate the real world in terms of their performance and quality. It’s never a surprise for a RC car to accelerate at 60mph and features suspension and other parts which could be tuned just like it’s done on a real car.
More importantly, there are several varieties of these devices available and it becomes a matter of choice just like it would be when you go to a showroom to check on a real machine that your prefer.
Basically, in the radio controlled technology, what entails the controls and performance includes the transmitter which is controlled by the user’s hand through the use of radio frequencies to relay the instructions and steering commands needed for the receiver to act as expected and the receiver in the RC device which picks up the commands through the antenna which has the ability to pick up radio signals and commands and relay them to the circuit board which then relays the instructions to the respective parts which are meant to receive the command.
Through this technology, several devices have been produced.
This domain has reach history. First it started as a website for offering free web hosting solutions to R/C Clubs in Canada in 2003, but the services were terminated in April 1st, 2007 and the domain was dropped. It was then picked up and made a forum for Radio Controlled devices but was again dropped and picked up by different owners who made the website a selling point of fleshlights. Yack! I hope it doesn’t sound gross.
Nowadays, this website has content still about Radio Controlled devices. Yeah I love the hobby. Doubt that? Then you need to read the published content and realize my passion.
Remote control toys changes everything…
Believe me that with increasing advancements in technology around the world, everything or product is experiencing the same change. Therefore, technology has become the new ingredient for remote controlled toys as well. Astonishment unfolds with the concept of remote controlled or radio controlled helicopters for copter enthusiasts who wish to manipulate their very own miniature version instead of the real thing as RC helicopters are an amazing go-to option that will entertain them to a complete extent.
What is interesting to note that is RC helicopters are significantly different from RC airplanes regarding design, construction, and the aerodynamics equipped and therefore the two must not be confused. However, RC helicopters are only a miniature version of a life-sized copter, and everything is replicated in a model. The only exceptions are the size and the control mechanism which are done through a remote control.
Classification of RC helicopters
RC helicopters may be classified into multiple types depending on their control mechanism and their modulation. The kinds of RC helicopters are based on certain vital attributes such as the fuel used – whether nitro fuel or glow fuel, electric copters, turbine helicopters, radio mechanisms such as elevator, throttle, aileron or rudder, the construction, and control. Most RC helicopters are designed for hobbyists and enthusiasts, and their weight varies from model to model. They weigh a few hundred grams or less, for easy flying. Besides the standard types, there are also fixed pitch and collective pitch copters.
Fixed pitch and Collective pitch copters
Fixed pitch copters do not let the user alter the angles of the rotors and their tail blade is also fixed. Moreover, the gyroscope sensor in fixed pitch copter, assists in shifting the angle of the aircraft’s nose and thereby balances better. Collective pitch copters, on the other hand, enable the user to switch the angles which help in elevating the helicopter.
Parts and their Functions
A standard remote control helicopters features a balance bar, a connect buckle, a main blade, a pair of rotor blades, bearings, shaft, gearset, mainframe, a motor unit, motor base, Chopper tail unit, a decorative bar, a tail blade, undercarriage, controller equipment, headcover, hand controller, charger and charger box etc.
Models may also come with a landing skid, fuel tank, chassis, power plant, paddles and tail fins. Certain high-end copter models are also equipped with a mini camera which can record and capture images while flying.
RC helicopter is equipped with flyballs that are primarily designed to assist the copter in flying. Flybars are located close to the central rotor blades, and they also operate as stabilizers during flight. However, with innovation in technology, model helicopters are being constructed with electronic stabilizers, thus minimizing the use of a flyball. The rotor blades are the other most important parts of a copter that help in an upward motion, and the Swashplate is another vital part that assists in propelling forwards and backward.
The motor in a copter is responsible for turning the gears, and the gyro is a component that is located at the back or the front and senses the various movements to balance the torque reaction. Also, there’s the four channel control which allows effective manipulation of the copter to any side, whether left, right, spin or speed.
Suggestions to maintain a copter
While flying an RC helicopter, it is best advised not to expose them to rain and snow. Water contact will tend to deteriorate the quality of helicopter and may cause them to rust. Also, it is better to keep the parts disassembled when not in use and clean the parts gently on a regular basis to avoid rusting. Also, keep copter parts away from pets in case they swallow them and cause damage.
Shop online for Remote Control Helicopters
Before diving headfirst into purchasing a remote controlled helicopter, a little bit of research is required and you can carefully select the kind of copter that will suit your requirement. Simple models will be relatively inexpensive as compared to sophisticated models. Therefore, you can narrow down your choice accordingly.
I have attended shows that are aimed at spreading awareness about the improved dietary pills and supplements that are used during procedures to treat breast cancer.
With online shopping and e-commerce having taken a giant leap in the recent years, purchasing RC helicopters from the comfort of your home has become a possibility. With just a few ticks, place the order online for kids toys and have the advantage of the product being delivered right at your doorstep with easy payment options such as cash on delivery, the card on delivery and net banking. Moreover, if you’re not pleased with the product, you can exchange the product in return for another one.
